So you have heard of the Slang- “Netflix and Chill“. And you are either thinking of getting Netflix South Africa or Just recently subscribed or not sure at all. Let me entice you a bit into this millennial service provider…..
I am going to give you a list of movies and series to kick-off the obsession. First you need these-tools that we cannot survive without- Laptop or Smart Phone and Data. Then the marathon can start with these original Netflix content…..
Bojack Horseman – Season 1-5
This animated comedy show resonates so much with a lot of people; A middle aged unmarried man BoJack Horseman– who is trying to find his purpose in life while going through the most- dating, sex, drugs, alcohol, corruption and depression. A career driven woman who is unmarried- Princess Carolyn,, has no kids , trying to fight life’s disappointing paradox. A naive, happy chap–Mr. Peanutbutter who gets lucky without working for anything and has everything working out for him, except for his three failed marriages. A ghost writer–ferminist–Diane Nguyen who goes through life being cynic and sarcastic and an abortion. An unemployed guy –Todd Chavez who went to a celebrity party, and never left the mansion and now is stuck with the rich and famous as a free loader
To distress and stop feeling sorry for yourself- this is the best show to watch!

2. Velvet Buzzsaw- Movie
This Movie is based on a very elite group of art fanatics (gallery owner, gallery staff, artists and an art critic) The movie is “…gory, brutal, disturbing and shallow…” claimed by critics. This movie is out of the world, highly imaginative and don’t we all like an anticlimax conclusion? only the brave!
Snippet a bit about the movie-After paintings by an unknown artist are discovered, a supernatural force enacts revenge on those who have allowed their greed to get in the way of art.

3. 13 Reasons Why – Season 1-2
OMG – talk about Scandals- So Hannah Baker commits suicide, makes 13 cassette tapes of why she killed herself, delivers the cassette tapes in a box to her classmates, the tapes get rotated, blame game starts and secrets out- Not in that order- You will be amazed at every end of an episode, trust me when I say you will unexpectedly finish a season in one week! It involves- suicide rates among teens, depressed teens, bullying, house parties, sex tapes, nudes, girl on girl, drugs, alcohol, school life, parents divorce, abuse, sexual assault, gossip.
Want to be kept on your toes? this is the one series that will do just that.

4. The Invitation- Movie
This one confused my emotions so much- I felt betrayed by the ending….so imagine being invited to a dinner at a friend’s place- a friend that you have not seen in a very long while- after something tragic happened to them. You go and your friend seems happy but in a strange way, she has a new partner and boom just like that, they try to recruit you to a Cult! They are not offended by your decline and the dinner goes on……………and then one of the friends’ suspicions are realised in the most brutal way!
The suspense will make you brave!

5. You- Season 1
He is hot, he makes you feel special, he is gentle, he makes you feel beautiful, he is everything you want in a partner, he is obsessed with you, he is killing people around you & you know nothing about it, including your ex boyfriend and friends! WHAT? yep that is how it goes from 0-100 real quick-on YOU!……

6. Nothing to Hide- Movie
So you get invited to another dinner party at a friends house- it’s you and your spouse and other couples- someone comes up with a brilliant idea that cellphones should be put to the dinner table and every message that comes in at that time, to be read aloud! sheeesh Netflix is trying to make us decline dinner invitations…….
Imagine if your partner was reading your texts? Break-up much?

7. The Haunting of the Hill House- Season 1
Now if you love horror as much as I do- You will enjoy this emotional horror series. It is more than the dramatic music, something creeping up behind the window, moving objects and everything mediocre you know thus far about horror movies. This series is about family bonds, a dead mother, a drug addicted brother, sibling love, literally facing the ghosts of the past and a house that has broken this family up.
You will not get scared, you will just cry at the end!

8. Bad Match- Movie
So we have all used Tinder right? …..right? Well this movie is about more than hook ups. It is about a match that goes from a hook up to paranoia to murder. Well if you answered No, to the initially asked question- you still need to watch this, just in case you know!>…….

9. Big Mouth – Season 1-3
Okay time to take a break from all these murderous plots, lets giggle a bit, with this animated puberty series. This series is about everything funny and scary about sex and our hormones. It takes you back to when you had your first periods, first public boner, first sexual encounter, masturbation hassles and all importantly that first kiss and the devil called hormones.

10. CAM- Movie
This is the weirdest Movie I have ever watched in my whole entire adulting life! Its about a girl who has a porn webcam account to make money- you do know what a webcam is right? well – A webcam is a video camera that feeds or streams its image in real time to or through a computer. Okay back to the CAM movie now, this girl looses her webcam account credentials and account, she cant seem to get back on, although her account is still live and streaming with a girl that looks exactly like her-
This movie is genius – thank me later
