My Life Saving Experience with the App Namola

This incident happened on the 25th of Sep 2020, shy minutes away from 11pm, in the middle of N1 Western Bypass, Bryanston, which is 20.4 km away from my home. To put more chills to the story, Imagine a very tiny woman, stuck in the car that just died, alone and wearing a short piece of clothing, as she was from a night event. YEP, that happened to me.

To put cherry on top, this is amidst lockdown regulations, so the highway is pretty empty, one car speeding by every other minute. If this did not happen to me, I would be dead set this is an introduction to a very suspenseful novel to keep one at the edge of their seat.
Now As I am stuck, first question is, Do you have your phone? Yes I did, But OOPS, I have no airtime or enough data AND the people I am trying to get hold off, whom I was with at the event, have their phones off ! What a night I tell you!
Then at the peak of panic, I remembered that I have the App called Namola on my phone. I click on it and within a micro second of reporting my incident on the app, I get a life saving call.

Here is how this APP SAVED me from becoming a statistic of the following crimes in South Africa;

Abduction
Yes, it is that deep according to Crime Stats in South Africa, So yes I was scared out of my mind, this was serious. I am stuck with my car, alone in the middle of the highway, an hour from midnight , every bit of my life and belongings are COMPROMISED.
After reporting the incident on Namola, I got a call back within a sec, and the lady on the other end, assured me a community security personnel was going to be by my side while we figure out what to do! AND Lord behold, a Sandton Security service provider was right behind my car with big lights and a smile of safety before I knew it.
Namola Rep called back to ask if the security personnel was there yet, once confirmed, we had to figure out a way to get me home safe. Namola found me a Tow Truck Service, which I had to pay obviously, costs were told to me before I approved the Truck, all the while I have a very friendly security guard by my side.
I was home by 00:00, I was safe, by my bed side, I got to live another day and tell another story. Here is the CRAZY THING- NAMOLA IS ABSOLUTELY FREE TO USE !!!!!
The Craziest thing is that, this article is ORGANIC, NOT PAID FOR AND NO-NAMOLA personell will know about the impact they had on the safety of my livelihood, until they read this story.
