What Disney On Ice ❄️ Delivers to Our Millennial Day-Dreams

Disney On Ice is not just for kids , Angels, it is to remind us semi-adults who are unwillingly adulting – that dreams are still valid and possible.

Goofy, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse & Donald Duck

Here below are the lessons I got from the Disney On Ice Show – In order of appearance on the show- As a Millennial who is struggling with adulting and always loved Disney from childhood onto adulthood

Ariel 🧜‍♀️

Oh The Little Mermaid.…. apart from her exceptional performance- the best of the night( if Im allowed to judge)….What I took from Ariel’s part is that, sacrifices & risks are worth it, when the desired results are practical. Risking her harmonizing voice for a chance to have feet, so she can meet the love of her life outside the sea, and eventually he does & breaks the spell that gives her voice back- I can apply this on love and life, take the risk if you are willing to accept the outcome whole heartedly, good or bad.

Sebastian and the Mermaids

Rapunzel 👱🏻‍♀️

Apart from the mantra that was stolen from her unknowingly “Long hair don’t Kur“- What I took from this beautiful, innocent survivor is that adventure lives in all of us…Regardless of how scary the world may seem. Tangled reminds us that pushing through the norm will lead you to the hidden happiness you never knew existed- So go out there Angel, experiment, explore, do something you have never done before…..you don’t know what it will bring you & that is the most exciting part of an adventure. We do not know what the world has in store for you beyond your comfort zone- Go SEE…..

Rapunzel & Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert

Beaty & The Beast 🧟‍♂️

What this part reminded me of, is that love is NOT A face, A look, posture or shape. That love is what we feel and not what we see. I am one of the pickiest daters of all time ( confession) & what this reminded me, is that you can have the most common beautiful qualities with someone you overlook because you don’t give them a chance further than how they look like. Beauty and The Beast is both for the vain and shallow individuals, this part teaches us that looks are what we see with our eyes and personality, humanity, empathy, love is what we see with our emotions.

Belle & The Beast

Frozen ❄️

What Anna & Elsa reminded me is that true love exists in our everyday life, it is not only in a romantic partner/ situation. You can find it in your mother, father, sister and anyone around you who shows you love unconditionally. Frozen reminds us that we do not have to wait to meet our “the one” to experience true love, we have it already. And yes I sang along to “Let if GO”…….

Anna & Elsa
